Farm direct from Kenya, a complex and robust tea.
The bold aroma will enliven your senses the moment you open the tin. From the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, the East African terroir is expressed in the bold, reddish colored cup. It's assertive astringency will awaken your palate and it's lingering fruit undertones will carry you through the morning.
Superb on its own or with a spash of cream and sugar to awaken your day. By far our favorite tea for "Southern Sweet Tea"!
Ingredients: Orthodox production Kenyan black tea
3-4 infusions
Instructions for 8 oz: 1 1/2 tsp, 4 minutes, boiling water
Story Behind the Tea...
On our last trip to the World Tea Expo, we met this wonderful team of Canadians who have partnered with farmers in Kenya to strengthen their farm businesses as tea growers. Kenyan tea is robust, with a fiery red cup and intriguing mineral characteristics. Drinking it as it's done in Kenya, with milk and sugar, delivers a warming, hearty cup of tea. Versatile enough to enjoy with breakfast, a lunch of meat and spiced potatoes, or a classic slice of apple pie.
